In the present generation, Mobile Phones and smart connect technology has surrounded the world. A lot of Mobile App tech companies have grown over the past decades and it is assumed to have a billion dollar market cap in the coming couple of years.

In that light let's acknowledge the greatest operating system builder, Apple and google. In this article we would be taking about what are they actually how, what similarities both the operating systems have and what makes them unique.

Android

This OS was developed by Google for its touchscreen devices and Mobile Phones. It was newly developed by Android, Inc. a software company located in Silicon Valley further Google bought it in 2005. It is based on the Linux kernel and mainly designed for touchscreen application such as smartphones, Tabs, etc.




iOS


This operating system is developed by Apple. It is developed for Apple products like iPhone, apple tablets and iPods, etc. IOS is considered to be the second most used OS after Android. The iOS programming architecture is layered lined with dynamic codes as there are layers between the applications and the hardware so that the performance can be increased and the credibility could be sustained.






Similarities Between iOS and Android



Functioning

They both have similar functionality and feature almost the same functioning protocols like calling, messaging, web browsing, video, voice commands etc.

Interface

They have a lot of similar usability in terms of both of these OS supports, tapping, zoom and swiping etc on their mobile phones.

Software UX

Both of the OS has a  status bar & it offers similar functions and information such as battery life, app notifications, time etc.

Connectivity Status

4G-5G cellular network can be enjoyed on both OS. As it's very important to have a good cellular network for web browsing and other surfing.

Privacy Terms & Policies

Privacy settings differ in both operating software as users are presented with very few app permissions in the case of iOS whereas Android users can easily customize their privacy policies which increase the risk of data leakage.



Differences Between iOS and Android



Accessibility 

Android is an open-source software whereas iOS is not open-source, users have very few system permissions in iOS but in Android, user's can easily customize and personalize their smartphones.


Brand Connect

Brands like Samsung, Motorola and other big brands connect with Android because of its availability, however, iOS is only controlled by Apple. As in the case of android, there can be a possibility of getting a little downgrade product because smaller brands can also access the open-source software but whereas in the case of apple it's not possible. The Android OS can be obtained from google whereas iOS applications are only available in the Apple store.


Integration

It's is observed that iOS has better connectivity and integration capabilities as compared to Google Android. The running speed of iOS devices remains consistent as the android application starts to lag after some time with time.

As there are different voice assistants for iOS and Android namely Siri and Google Assistant. But it is noticed to have Google assistant is more reliable & performance-oriented than Siri.
